REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

1. INSTALL REAR SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE RH

(a) Install the rear seat track adjusting handle.

HINT:

Install the adjusting handle straight, and look into the hole to check that it is centered.

2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY OUTER RH

(a) Install the rear seatback adjuster assembly with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 32 N·m (326 kgf·cm, 24 ft·lbf)

3. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY INNER RH

(a) Install the rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly with the nut.

Torque: 32 N·m (326 kgf·cm, 24 ft·lbf)

4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING NO. 1

(a) Install the rear seat cushion spring No. 1 and rear seat cushion support bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque: 32 N·m (326 kgf·cm, 24 ft·lbf)

5. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the rear No. 1 seat lock cable assembly.

(b) Adjust the cable length.

6. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the rear No. 1 seat lock cable assembly.

(b) Adjust the cable length.

7. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING CONTROL NO. 2 CABLE

(a) Install the rear seat reclining control No. 2 cable and rear seatback lock control No. 1 cable sub-assembly with the 2 cable ties.

8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK CONTROL NO. 2 CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear seatback lock control No. 2 cable sub-assembly.

(b) Adjust the cable length.

9. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER RH

(a) Install the rear seatback cover with the screw.

10. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER LH

(a) Install the rear seatback cover with the screw.

(b) Install the cable with the cable tie.

11. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION COVER RH

(a) Install the No. 1 seat cushion cover with 2 screws.

(b) Install the cables with the cable ties.

12. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER INNER

(a) Install the rear seat reclining cover with the 2 screws.

13. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK STRIKER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the rear seat cushion lock striker sub-assembly with the nut.

Torque: 21 N·m (214 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf)

14. INSTALL REAR BACK LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the rear back lock control lever sub-assembly with the bolt and 2 nuts and E ring.

  • for Bolt

Torque: 21 N·m (214 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf)

  • for Nut

Torque: 21 N·m (214 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf)

15. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Using a T45 "TORX" socket, install the rear seatback frame sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

Torque: 21 N·m (214 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf)


(b) Install the cable.

(c) Install the cables and adjust the length.

(d) Install the cables and adjust the length.

16. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER INNER RH



(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the rear seat reclining cover.

(b) Install the screw.

17. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER INNER LH



(a) Engage the claw to install the rear seat reclining cover.

(b) Install the screw.

18. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER NO. 1 LH



(a) Engage the claw to install the rear seat reclining cover.

(b) Install the screw.

19. INSTALL SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)



(a) Set the seatback heater with the name stamp side facing the seatback cover.

(b) Install the seatback heater with new 8 tack pins.

20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with 8 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

  • Be careful not to damage the cover.
  • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

21. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Engage the hooks to install the seatback cover with pad.

(b) Engage the hooks to install the seatback cover with pad.

22. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT



(a) Align the protruding portion of the rear seat headrest supports with the installation grooves of the rear seatback frame.

(b) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 supports.

23. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER RH

(a) Install the rear seat cushion under cover with the 3 screws.

24. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER RH



(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

25. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER NO. 1



(a) Engage the 3 claws and clip to install the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

(b) Install the screw.

26. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH



(a) Engage the 7 clips and install the rear seatback board sub-assembly.

27. INSTALL SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Armrest)

(a) Install the seat armrest assembly with the bolt.

Torque: 19 N·m (194 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf)

28. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ARMREST CAP (w/ Armrest)

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the rear No. 1 sear armrest cap.

29. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Connect the cable in the order shown in the illustration to install the lock control lever sub-assembly.

(b) Install the rear seat lock control lever sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

30. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER COVER



(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the rear seatback lock striker cover.

31. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

32. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)



(a) Set the seat cushion heater with the name stamp side facing the seat cushion cover.

(b) Install the seat cushion heater with new 31 tack pins.

33. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER



(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 11 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

  • Be careful not to damage the cover.
  • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

34. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY RH



(a) Engage the hooks to install the rear seat cushion spring assembly.

35. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH



(a) Install the 2 bushes to the cushion spring. Then using a T45 "TORX" socket, install the 2 bolts.

  • for Bolt A

Torque: 21 N·m (214 kgf·cm, 16 ft·lbf)

(b) Install the 2 bolts.

  • for Bolt B

Torque: 18 N·m (184 kgf·cm, 13 ft·lbf)


(c) Install the cable with the cable tie.

(d) Engage the claw and install the cable to the seat cushion spring.

(e) Install the cable with the cable tie and connect the cable.

36. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 7 clamps and install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

37. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY SEAT BELT: REAR NO. 1 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia)+

38. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER NO. 2



(a) Engage the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

(b) Install the screw.

39. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER NO. 3



(a) Engage the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

(b) Install the screw.

40. INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING RELEASE LEVER

(a) Install the rear seat reclining release lever with the 3 screws.

41. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER KNOB CAP RH

(a) Engage the 3 claws and install the reclining adjuster knob cap.
